One of the promises the Lord gives us is this:
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” — John 14:18
Yet so many of us still feel alone.
We go through our days, weeks, months—and sometimes even years—depending only on ourselves and carrying burdens we were never meant to bear. We tell ourselves, “If I don’t do it, who else will?”
But the beautiful thing about coming into agreement that God is our Father is realising that everything we need, He has already supplied.
In Him, we can find rest.
Now, I’m not saying it’s easy to surrender control after years of trying to handle everything on your own. But I do believe that if we begin by surrendering just one area of our lives to Him, eventually we will begin to understand what it truly means to be a child of God.
