Healing is not always instant.
Sometimes, it begins with permission—permission to reach out, to hope again, and to believe that freedom is actually possible.
For a long time, I was fascinated by the story of the woman with the issue of blood.
Two Stories, One Moment
In the Gospel accounts (Mark 5:21–43), something extraordinary happens.
A woman who had been bleeding for twelve years reaches out and touches Jesus—and she is healed instantly.
On that very same day, a twelve-year-old girl dies… and is later brought back to life by Jesus.
For years, I wondered why Scripture tells us her age.
Why twelve?
Then it dawned on me:
What if these two stories are connected in more than just timing?
The Unhealed Girl Within
What if the little girl represents the unhealed version of ourselves—the part of us that has been bleeding quietly for years?
The wounds we never spoke about.
The pain we learned to live with.
The trauma we buried because survival demanded it.
If those wounds are left untouched, they don’t disappear.
They bleed into our relationships, our decisions, our identity, and the way we love others.
Healing isn’t just personal—it’s generational.
She Reached Out
What strikes me most about the woman with the issue of blood is this:
She reached out.
She didn’t wait to be noticed.
She didn’t ask for permission.
She believed—quietly but boldly—that if she could just touch Jesus, something would change.
“If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
— Mark 5:28
Her healing began the moment she believed freedom was possible.
Freedom Was Never Locked Away
Recently, I had a revelation that changed everything for me.
Jesus didn’t just die to forgive us—He died to set us free.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”
— Galatians 5:1
For so long, I thought there was no way out of the pain.
I couldn’t see the exit.
I felt trapped by what hurt me.
Then I realised something simple but profound:
The cage door was already open.
I wasn’t bound—I just didn’t know how to walk out yet.
Healing Is Learning to Walk Free
Healing doesn’t mean the pain never existed.
It means the pain no longer controls you.
Jesus called the little girl back to life.
He didn’t just stop death—He restored what was lost.
And He still does that today.
Healing is a journey of learning how to walk in the freedom Jesus already paid for. Step by step. Breath by breath. With grace for the process.
An Invitation to Be Made Whole
This page exists to remind you:
You are not broken beyond repair.
You are not trapped in your past.
You are not bound to what tried to destroy you.
The same Jesus who healed the woman.
The same Jesus who raised the girl.
Is still calling daughters to rise.
“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
— Mark 5:34
Healing is possible.
Freedom is available.
And you don’t have to walk it alone.
