As women in this ministry, many of us carry dreams, ideas, and visions that we know, deep down, came from God. Yet, if I’m honest, even when those ideas are God-given, there’s often a quiet, nagging voice that tries to creep in and whisper, “But will it really happen?”
I wrestle with that voice too.
There are moments when I look at the dreams God has placed in my heart and wonder if they are too big, too bold, or too far out of reach. And then, recently, I felt the Holy Spirit gently challenge me with a question that shifted everything:
Why not you?
Why can it not happen to me?
Why can it not happen to you?
When I look around, I see what God has done in the lives of others, and what He continues to do in my own life. I’ve seen doors open, healing take place, and prayers answered in ways I could never have orchestrated myself. If God can do it for them, why do we so quickly believe He won’t do it for us?
The truth is, the same God who gave you the vision is fully aware of your limitations, your fears, and your doubts. He chose you knowing all of that. The vision wasn’t given by accident, and it wasn’t given to the wrong person.
Before we begin writing down the vision, before the planning, dreaming, and building, we must first prepare our minds. We must confront and rebuke the voices of doubt and unbelief that try to keep us trapped, frozen, or playing small. Those voices are not from God.
God does not tease His daughters with impossible dreams. He invites us into partnership with Him.
This season is about choosing faith over fear. It’s about silencing the lie that says, “This is for someone else,” and replacing it with the truth: “God chose me.”
So as we prepare our hearts and minds for what’s ahead, let’s make a decision together, to trust God with the vision He planted, to believe that He will provide what is needed, and to walk forward even when the outcome isn’t fully clear.
If God gave you the vision, then He has already considered the outcome.
And once again, I’ll ask you the question that changed everything for me:
Why not you?
