Stay Planted In God.

Written By Rebecca Johnson

It took me a while to understand just how similar we are to plants. Just like a tree needs good soil, water, and sunlight to grow, we need the right spiritual foundation to thrive. The question is: Where are you planted?

If we are planted in the wrong environment—seeking wisdom from the ungodly, following the ways of the world, or surrounding ourselves with negativity—our spiritual growth will be stunted. But when we are rooted in God’s Word, drawing from His truth, we become like that tree by the river—strong, fruitful, and unshakable.

Stay Planted in God

If you’re looking for change, growth, and transformation, it won’t come from worldly sources. It comes from being rooted in God. That means:

  • Reading His Word daily – Let His truth renew your mind.
  • Surrounding yourself with godly community – People who water and encourage your faith.
  • Spending time in His presence – Worship, prayer, and listening to His voice.

The key to bearing fruit in your life isn’t striving—it’s staying planted in the right place. Choose today to plant yourself in God, and watch how your life flourishes in His perfect timing.

Psalm 1:3“He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
