Answer the Call… Even When You Feel Unqualified

I remember when I launched Raising Esther’s Ministries and Refresh Kits in the same year. I had no idea that I was going to birth them, and I remember how it all happened—very out of the ordinary, yet undeniably God.

When I look back at that moment, I think of Moses. After running away, he lived a quiet life as a shepherd for 40 years, unaware that God was training him for the very thing he was created to do. At first, Moses made every excuse as to why he wasn’t the right person for the job, but God had to show him why He was God—and that it was He who was calling him into purpose.

I wonder if there is something God is calling you to do, yet you’ve been telling Him all the reasons why you are not qualified. If you’re familiar with this ministry, you know I love talking about the story of Gideon—how God transformed his identity and called him into purpose.

It’s easy to think you’re not called when you’ve been conditioned to believe that lie—when your identity has been shaped by the words of others and the world around you. But I tell you this: it’s time to discover who God has called you to be and what He has called you to do. It’s time to answer the call.
