The book of Esther is a remarkable story of God’s divine influence, even when His name is never explicitly mentioned. From the very beginning, we see how God is at work behind the scenes, orchestrating events to bring about His perfect will. The story is filled with moments of providence and positioning, reminding us that God’s hand is always at work in our lives, even when it’s not immediately visible.
God Positions People for Influence
Esther’s rise from an orphaned Jewish girl to queen of Persia is no coincidence. God placed her in a position of influence to save her people from destruction. Mordecai’s famous words to Esther emphasize this truth:
“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
Just as Esther was positioned for her time and purpose, we are placed in specific situations and roles to carry out God’s plans. The relationships, platforms, and opportunities we have are not random—they are divine setups for influence.
God’s influence in your life may not always be obvious, but it is constant. Whether you are in a position of leadership or facing challenges, remember that you are placed where you are for a purpose. Trust in God’s plan, seek His guidance, and let Him use you to make an eternal impact.
