I recently watched Keke Palmer’s interview with Shannon Sharpe, and she dropped some incredible gems. One that stuck with me was her reference to video games. She said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “Before you get to Bowser, you have to go through other levels.”
Now, maybe it’s just me, but I had an epiphany: each level in a video game prepares you for the final battle. To be honest, I’ve never been much of a gamer, so this connection never clicked for me before.
But it got me thinking about life—especially our Christian walk. Every trial, every heartbreak, and every victory we’ve experienced has prepared us for this exact moment. It’s as if every battle is training ground for the next chapter.
Personally, I’m about to step into a new season of life. Looking back, I realize that even the things I started but didn’t succeed at are coming full circle, equipping me for this season.
What battle are you facing right now? Remember, it’s part of your preparation. As James 1:12 reminds us: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
You’ve got this—because He’s got you. 🌟
